Can I lay down the motor in a Sportline 4wd??

Would it be possible to laydown the motor in a Sportline 4wd like the way they are in the Evo?? Laying down the motor should make the car better balance and possible handle better than it already does.

Nitrohead,

It probably could be done with a great deal of ingenuity, effort, and fabrication. Keep in mind the engines are able to be laid down in the 2wd On Road Cars like the Evos, F1s, and Sportlines because there are no belt and belt housing running down the center of the chassis. If one was able to lay the engine down in the 4wd car, it would have to be raised up, so the exhaust manifold would clear the belt housing.
